Dine Without Restrictions

Explore dining options designed for safety and satisfaction, offering allergen-friendly spaces that cater to your needs.

  • True Balance

    The True Balance Station is located inside The Dish at Kleiner. True Balance offers a complete meal made without gluten and the top 9 food allergens (milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, and sesame). A dedicated and trained staff member will serve you from this station with a clean plate each time.

    This station is AllerCheck  certified, indicating that it follows the proper processes and procedures to minimize the risk of cross-contact and serves menu items prepared with verified ingredients. The True Balance station is audited by an independent agency at least once per year.

  • My Fresh Pantry

    My Fresh Pantry is located inside Fresh Food in Upper Level Commons. This self-serve allergen station is stocked with specialty products including separate utensils, cutting boards, microwave, toaster, and waffle iron. There are individually packaged food products to reduce cross-contact.

    This station is AllerCheckTM certified, indicating that it follows the proper processes and procedures to minimize the risk of cross-contact and serves menu items prepared with verified ingredients.

Made Without Gluten

Please inform staff members of dietary needs. Ask about any substitutions that have been made. There is no guarantee that the item has not been in contact with gluten, as there isn't any certified gluten free kitchens. For National Brands like Panda Express and Starbucks, please visit their website for nutritional information.

    • Salad bar with variety of toppings and rice bowls 
  • In addition to these offerings, Fresh Food Co. & The Dish offer many other items that are made without gluten such as: 

    • The omelet station features freshly made omelets with a variety of fresh veggies. 
    • The salad station offers many fruits and vegetables that are naturally gluten-free. This station is self serve. 
    • The pizza station offers made without gluten pizza crust for a customizable pie. 
    • The sauté station offers made-to-order stir fry or pasta (made without gluten noodles available upon request) with a large selection of fresh veggies.

Vegan & Vegetarian Dining

Laker Food Co. works hard to ensure all dietary preferences have dining options. Over 50% of dining options on campus offer a vegan/vegetarian meal or can be customized to your preferences. How We Support You

RD Tabor uses evidence-based research and an individualized approach to help students make informed decisions about daily health and well-being. One-on-one nutrition consultations can support students with: Managing food allergies and intolerances, Dietary restrictions or preferences, General healthy eating, Sports performance Follow these steps to get started:

  • Meet

    Contact our dining team to discuss your allergy, gather information on managing them, and learn about navigating campus dining. We will accommodate your individual needs and help you find safe food options on campus.

  • Support

    We can provide additional support after the initial meeting. This includes meeting the culinary team who can address any allergy-related questions and concerns. It’s an opportunity for us to thoroughly review available food options.

  • Monitor

    We continuously monitor our processes to ensure safety and care for individuals with food allergies. Throughout the year, the Laker Food Co. Team is available to assist you. Feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns.
